Day 1

Hello everyone!  We have arrived safely and have had one day in the field.  Yesterday was long and time was limited in the evening, so I apologize that we did not post upon arriving.  Today was a good day; we worked with the team that has been here for the past week.  In the morning we traveled to Cabaret, which is about an hour drive from the guest house where we stay.  We helped the other team with childrens ministry at the church in Belsie.  Everyone had a great time playing, singing, and loving on the children.  After we had lunch, we traveled a little farther out to a beach where we were able to go swimming!  This was an unexpected opportunity for our team.  It is not normal to do something like this on the first day, but we were with the other team and it is their last day, so we swam.  most of us do not have swimming suits, but made the best with the clothes we had!  We then returned to the guest house and enjoyed our dinner that was prepared for us.  The team has worked very well together today.  Everyone is healthy and doing well.  We are very blessed by all of them already on the first day.  Thank you for your prayers.  We are encouraged greatly knowing that so many of you are battling in prayer for us paving the way.  We will post again soon.  We love and miss you all.  Until the next post....

  1. Thank you so much for the update. We figured that since we hadn't heard any new news, that meant you were for sure in Haiti and very busy already! We are standing in the gap in prayer for you from rising in the morning until we sleep. Please tell Rachel her horse IS getting fed and tell David that his conferences were wonderful. All the teachers could talk about was how his character and example were a blessing to their classes. . . plus a few stories that we didn't know! We love you all and are covering you in prayer!
